“I’m proud to stand for re-election in Kenton Ward where I have been a Councillor since 2002. I’m a community governor on Kenton School and is a Trustee on the Kenton Park Sports Centre. I’ve been a teacher, was born, brought up and educated in the North West of the city. I’m Married to Margaret, a west end NHS Community Nurse. Despite the challenging times we find ourselves in Kenton Labour team have continued to keep people informed, listening and working for residents all year round.
We’ve prioritised the environment by spending available cash on tackling litter, dog mess, fly-tipping and restoring green planters. With Ged and Anya, I’ve spoken up for Kenton, which is one of the most deprived wards in the city where 1 in 3 children live in child poverty. That’s why I have supported the Welfare rights service as well as the local foodbank who tackle food poverty. I’ve worked with the local neighbourhood police team to tackle anti-social behaviour and crime. Kenton Labour is the only party to be here all year round and not just at election time.
I’m asking for your vote so I can continue to work hard to make Kenton and our city a great place to live and work, despite the challenges we face.”
