“I have been living in the West End since we moved to Newcastle. I am a family man, married with a daughter at a local school. I’m originally from Romania and I belong to the minority Roma/Gypsy community. I am pleased that we live in a ward where people are tolerant and welcoming. I am aware of some of the challenges we face here in Elswick such as; Littering, anti-social behaviour, fly-tipping, unemployment, health inequalities but to mention a few. I am excited of the prospect of working with Habib and Ann and together we can continue the work of making Elswick ward the place where we are proud to live, work, study and achieve our best potential.
I would like to say a big thank you to all our front-line staff & Key workers in the NHS and Community Services for their commitment and care of people who are sick and dying. They together with teachers, youth workers have worked throughout the pandemic at great risk to themselves and their families even sacrificing their lives. If elected as your Councillor. I will work closely with local agencies, churches and community groups to support people who are finding it difficult to survive under lockdown and help build back better going forward.”
