“It’s an honour to be your Labour Candidate for South Jesmond. My connection to the ward goes back as far as I can remember. My grandma and grandad both worked here, I went to St Catherine’s Primary School in Sandyford and attended the school’s Summer play-schemes. I went to secondary school nearby at Heaton Manor and now study Forensic Science at Northumbria University. I also work part-time at the University. I have been an active member of the local community since I was a teenager. I was a member of the Army Cadet Force at Heaton Manor and at Jesmond Army Reserve Centre for many years and have taken part in community organised litter picks.
I’m proud to support local businesses. I am looking forward to, when restrictions allow, being able to get back to the quiz at The Carriage again. I hope residents will join me in shopping local, to support the brilliant and diverse range of local businesses we have in South Jesmond.
I am passionate about South Jesmond and would relish the opportunity to work with residents to make the area an even greater place to live. I hope that you will be able to support me.”
